Taking heed of small solutions that have helped many people enter the gym with far less anxiety than usual has got me thinking. Many benefits come from working out with a friend like being held accountable for showing up, going harder on the exercises, and even enjoying an awesome post-workout meal together! These concepts are great, but do they necessarily transfer to campus life? Not exactly. Many of our students are commuters, who generally come to campus to get their classes done, and leave. Typically, these students don’t have a base of active campus friends who would be available for things like this, and even if they did, class schedules are hectic, and it’s hard to coordinate times to go to the gym. I think it’s time to fix this issue…
